The Big Party Tradition in Aggieland's "Back Yard"
The inaugural Ag Kickoff was held in September
of 1993 and featured two of the biggest Texas music artists of the
day; Jerry Jeff Walker and Robert Earl Keen. As their unforgettable
performances christened College Station's brand new Wolf Pen Creek
Amphitheater, a new tradition was born in the Brazos Valley.
Now one
of the largest traditional events of the year, the Ag Kickoff gives
the students of Texas A&M as well as alumni a special way to kickoff
the start of school and the start of the Aggie football season.
Just as in 1993, the 2007 Ag Kickoff will feature three of Texas' hottest bands; Cross Canadian Ragweed, Stoney LaRue, and the Doug Moreland Show.
And it's all right in Aggieland's "back yard" at the newly remodeled Wolf Pen Creek Amphitheater. Come on out and enjoy the Big Party, the Tradition, the Ag Kickoff!
